43rd Division Aviation 118th Observation Squadron aka Flying Yankees Pinback DI by Whitehead & Hoag

This is a United States Air Force 43rd Division Aviation (in the 1930s) and 118th Observation Squadron (in the 1940s) distinctive insignia (DI) pin. The pin is round with a yellow background and black border and shows the Connecticut Colonial secretary hurrying on foot carrying the colonial charter.

Circa WWII.

1" diameter.

Gold-plated brass with enamel.

Horizontal pin with drop-in locking catch.

7- (Very Fine): Pin has a slight ding on the esge and very little tarnish on reverse.
