Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a first edition book entitled "A History of the 305th Infantry", authored by the captain of the 305th, Frank B. Tiebout. It was published in New York in 1919, and covers the United States Army 305th Infantry Regiment, which was constituted in August 1917 and assigned to the 77th Division. The book has several black and white photographs of the 305th serving in France, some cartoons and illustrations, and a large roster. The cover is in indigo blue and black and is quite attractive despite the somber subject matter.

Circa 1919.

432 pages, with black and white photos; approximately 11" in height and 7-3/4" in width and 1-1/4" in thickness.

Glossy paper, cloth-covered.

Glued binding.
