Description
This is a first class breast star for the Venezuelan Order of Francisco de Miranda. The star is in a bold starburst design with a red enamel medallion at center reading FRANCISCO DE MIRANDA. The Order, begun in 1943 and named for a Venezuelan patriot born in 1750, is awarded for meritorious behavior, scientific advancements and contributions to the nation of Venezuela.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:3-1/8" height and 3-1/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with red enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in swivel locking catch.
