ARTIFACT: Rare 1920's – 1930's Lithuanian Order of Grand Duke Gediminas First Class Breast Star in gilt and enameled silver. The center of the star shows an enameled red disc that shows the Columns of Gediminas or Pillars of Gediminids, one of the earliest symbols of Lithuania and one of its historical coats of arms. The center is surrounded by white enameled and gilt brass embellishments. The Order was established in 1928 and awarded to those with outstanding performance in civil and public offices.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920's – 30's

SIZE: Approximately 3" x 3

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt and enameled silver, two piece construction

ATTACHMENT: Large horizontal pin with 'C' type catch

MARKINGS: Old collectors "380 90"

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Lithuanian collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MCGEX16 LCCGEX5/16

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The pin shows moderate wear, the center device is slightly loose, and the reverse shows old collector's marks, overall gorgeous old patina, much of the enamel and gilt details remain intact, very fine condition.
