Description
This is a gold-filled silver "tank" watch from the 1990s by the world-renowned Cartier. "Tank" refers to the rectangular shape of the watch, which resembles a tank from the air. Cartier started the original "Tank" watch line in 1917, although plenty of other manufacturers have copied the style.
VINTAGE:Circa 1990s.
SIZE:Approximately 1" in width and 9" in length total and 1/4" in thickness.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-filled 925 silver, glass, leather (or faux lizard), sapphire chip on end of crown (winding dial).
ATTACHMENT:Wrist band with buckle, sliding loop.
MARKINGS:MUST DE CARTIER SWISS on face of watch; CARTIER PARIS 925 ARGENT PLAQUE OR G 20 M SWISS 6 175 050 with maker marks on reverse of watch.
