This is a 1980's submarine patch for the USS New York City (SSN-696). The New York City was launched at Groton, Connecticut in 1977 and was commissioned in 197She was decommissioned in 199The patch shows the Statue of Liberty at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1980's.
SIZE:Approximately 4-15/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads, waxy backing.
