This is a 1972 paperback copy of "The Firefox Book (hog dressing, log cabin building, mountain crafts and foods, planting by the signs, snake lore, hunting tales, faith healing, moonshining, and other affairs of plain living)" by Eliot Wigginton. Wigginton, a teacher who moved to the Appalachian Mountains, recorded and photographed the skills of many people surviving in largely the same way as their forebears. This book was first published by Anchor Press, and had been in a magazine format up until then. It is a great reference book for Doomsdayers and other folk alike.
