ARTIFACT:
This is a great grouping originally belonging to Clark L. Strubar, Jr. from Detroit, a combat fighter and ferry pilot in World War II, a post-war civilian pilot and a United States Air Force member in the Korean War. Included in this lot are Strubar's WWII log book and wings, his civilian log book and photo identification and license cards from 1946-1948, his Air Transport Command and US Strategic Air Force patches and a "Dumbo" transport squadron patch and dog tags from his Korean War service.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II-Korean War.
SIZE:
Wing: approximately 7/8" in height and 3" in width; patches: various sizes with largest one is approximately 4-3/16" in height and 4" in width; cards & license: various sizes; dog tags: 1-1/8" in height and 2" in width (each); log books: various sizes with largest one (WWII) approximately 5-7/16" in height and 7-9/16" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Wing: sterling silver; patches: fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads; all other items are made of expected materials .

Wing: horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
