This is a large 1970s Virginia State Police patch. It is embroidered in gold thread on wool felt and shows the state seal and motto: SIC SEMPER TYRANNUS (thus always to tyrants).
VINTAGE:Circa 1970s.
SIZE:Approximately 6-5/8" in height and 4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool felt embroidered in cotton/polyester threads, mesh backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a state police collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. LCDX5/12
CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The patch shows some light wear.
