ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1970s patch for the United States Air Force 48th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, also known as the "Tanzlanglian Devils". During the Korean War, the 48th was transferred to Langley AFB, which gives its primary syllable to the squadron's nickname. The squadron flew F-106s starting in the early 1960s. This patch shows one of the ferocious Devils with a pitchfork in hand.

VINTAGE: Circa 1970s.

SIZE: Approximately 6" in height and 3-7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester/silk threads.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Air Force collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAEX13 LDEX2/13 SDEX4/13

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The patch shows some light wear only.
