This is an early (1970s) pilot wing on wool for Air Canada. In 1965, Air Canada became the new name for Trans-Canada Airlines, a company that had been flying for almost three decades. The wing is in a beautiful scarlet red wool with a winged maple leaf embroidered in gold.
VINTAGE:Circa 1970s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/4" in height and 4-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool felt embroidered in cotton/silk threads, cloth backing.
