Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a sterling silver wing for Air West. Air West began in 1968 when three airlines joined together and then was taken over and renamed a mere two years later by Howard Hughes.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1968-1970.

SIZE:

Approximately 5/8" in height and 3-1/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling silver, brass backings.

ATTACHMENT:

Two posts with clutch-back catches.

MARKINGS:

STERLING and B maker's mark.

ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:

8- (Very Fine-Excellent): Wing shows small spots of light wear and tarnish.
