Description
This is a 1969 date-coded Zippo lighter for the United States Navy oiler ship USS Neches (AO-47). The Neches was launched October 11, 1941 and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. She sailed to South Vietnam in 1968-1969 as part of WESTPAC. She was decommissioned in 1970.
VINTAGE:Circa 1969.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/16" height and 1-1/2" width and " in thickness.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome-plated brass, painted details, nickel insert.
ATTACHMENT:Hinge.
MARKINGS:BRADFORD PA. ZIPPO ยจ PAT. 2517191 on bottom.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The lighter shows some light abrasions and has some small spots of the painted area missing.
