Description
1966 USS Hanson DD-832 United States Ship Zippo. The lighter is factory engraved showing a blue ribbon with a white number: "1" in the center above an image of the vessel coasting through the water, showing a white number: "832" and beneath it reads: "U.S.S. HANSON DD 832". The USS Hanson was launched during 1945 by Bath Iron Works in Bath, Maine. The Destroyer was stationed among the fighting in Vietnam during 1966 and remained there providing artillery support for ground forces, helicopter refueling, guard and reconnaissance shore protection before being relieved of duty in January of 196This example is in near mint, unfired condition and comes in its original box with factory insert with directions for use.
