ARTIFACT: This is a program for the 1961 Laconia, New Hampshire World Championship Sled Dog Derby, an annual event since 1929. The cover features a photo of Peg Nansen, "Grand Lady" of the sled dog world and invited judge. The program has ranks and times of participants recorded inside, and comes with period clippings showing the derby winners and the junior dog sled race winners.

VINTAGE: Printed 1961.

SIZE: Approximately 5-1/2" by 8-1/2" (when folded).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Oaktag; newsaper.

ATTACHMENT: Folded.

MARKINGS: None.
