ARTIFACT:
Fantastic 1928 Meredith, New Hampshire Winter Carnival hand-colored broadside advertising the event to be held "FEBRUARY 3 . 4. 5". The central theme depicts a dog sled and a landscape of mountains in the background, above in black and yellow it reads: "MEREDITH'S WINTER CARNIVAL" and below the sled it reads: "1928 ON LAKE WINNEPESAUKEE". The carnival advertises "SKIING, SKATING, TOBOGGANING, HORSE RACING" "SEVEN SLED DOG TEAMS, CARNIVAL BALL, MINSTREL SHOW" and each corner features a different illustration depicting a winter sport, the colors are beautiful and is professionally framed in a lovely bird's eye birch or maple.
