This is a Japanese-made patch for the United States Navy's USS Snook SS-59The patch is crest-shaped and shows a sub in a sight, an atom and two dolphins playing around a rope border. The patch reads USS SNOOK 592 FESTINA LENTE (make haste slowly).
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:4-5/8" height and 4-3/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered patch with multi-colored silk/polyester/cotton threads.
MARKINGS:Original label attached: ACE NOVELTY BOX 1374 TOKYO JAPAN.
