Description
1960's 1970's Rhode Island State Rehabilitation Council Lieutenant of Special Police badge. The shield shaped badge shows a perched eagle on top, wings spread and head bowed, a banner is flowing from its beak and reads: "LIEUT." The center of the badge shows an anchor and filigree embellishments with a banner that reads: "HOPE" in lovely relief detail and is surrounded by a ring of dark blue enamel that reads: "STATE OF RHODE ISLAND". The top and bottom of the badge show scrolls that read: "SPECIAL POLICE S.R.C." in stamped letters with black painted detail. This badge was worn by 1930's - WWII US Marine O.F. Noel near the end of a long law enforcement career.

SIZE:Approximately 2-3/8" in height x 1-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt plated chromed brass, enamel, black paint
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with drop in locking catch.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The badge shows minor wear, nearly all of the plated, painted, and enamel details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
