ARTIFACT:
This is a circa 1950s United States Air Force Crash Crew badge. The badge bears the initials R.W., which could have been the initials of the wearer or the location. The badge could possibly have come from RAF Waddington, RAF Wethersfield or RAF Woodbridge, all now closed.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1950s.
SIZE:
About 1-5/8"e; in width by 2-3/8"e; in height.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Nickel-plated brass with painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical pin with a drop-in locking catch.
