This is a 1950s United States Army 5th Cavalry Regiment (aka "Black Knights") DI. The DI is a crest bearing crosses and topped with a bunch or arrows. The DI reads LOYALTY COURAGE.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/4" in height 1-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI has some light wear and tarnish.
