This is a 1950s United States Army distinctive insignia for the 505th Military Police Battalion. The DI is a latticework crest with three fleur-de-lis at its top and reads RESPICE FINEN (sic FINEM: look to the outcome).
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK, Meyer maker's mark, 9M.

CONDITION:8+ (Excellent): The DI shows only very light wear.
