ARTIFACT:

This is a 1960s United States Army distinctive insignia for the 389th Military Police Battalion. The DI reads DEMANDEZ-NOUS (ask us) and shows a crescent moon and a fleur-de-lis within a wavy hourglass shape.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1950s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1-1/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Two posts.

MARKINGS:

MARTIN KAHN BRONX 54 N.Y. 6K.
