1950s Patch for USN Cable Repair Ship USS Thor (ARC-4)

This is a patch for the United States Navy cable repair ship USS Thor (ARC-4). Thor, previously known as the USS Vanadis AKA-49, was recommissioned on January 3, 195She was decommissioned in 197The patch has a compass-themed border and shows the God of Thunder in all his glory at center.

Circa 1950s.

Approximately 4-1/2" in width and 4-15/16" in height.

Fully embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads.
