Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a wonderful circa 1950s harbor net tender's badge from the French vessel, la Tarentule (A-729). She became part of the French Fleet under the Lend-Lease Act and served until 197The badge is beuatifully enameled, and shows a spider spinning a weave to catch a ship.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1950s.

SIZE:

About 15/16" in width by 1/5/16" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-plated brass with blue, black, white and red enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS:
