ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1950s or 1960s United States Army 23rd Engineer Battalion pocket patch. The shield-shaped patch was made in Germany, and shows an oak tree in front of a boulder with a very organic silhouette.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950's - 1960's.

SIZE: Approximately 3-9/16" in height and 3-9/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool and silk embroidered in silk/cotton threads, mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto uniform.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The patch shows only very light wear.
