ARTIFACT: This is a circa late 1940s or early 1950s United States Army 69th Tank Battalion (aka the "Black Panthers") pocket patch. The 69th was deactivated in 1946, shortly following the end of World War II, and reactivated in 1950 as the 69th Medium Tank Battalion. The patch was made in the United States and shows a black panther climbing a green incline. The patch reads VITESSE ET PUISSANCE (Speed and Power).

VINTAGE: Circa late 1940s-early 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 3-15/16" in height and 2-7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester/silk thread.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The patch has some light to medium wear.
