Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1948 badge for Clan Davidson, a family of the Scottish Highlands. The badge is silver hallmarked from Birmingham on reverse. The garter encircling the stag's head at center reads SAPIENTER SI SINCERE (Wisely, if sincerely).

VINTAGE:

Circa 1948.

SIZE:

Approximately 2" in height and 1-3/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Silver.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal T-style pin, C catch.

MARKINGS:

MADE IN GT. BRITAIN; FN, anchor, lion and Y marks.
