Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a beautiful numbered circa 1940s Curtiss-Wright Propeller Division pin for ten years of service. Curtiss-Wright began in 1929 when Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company of Buffalo, New York, and Wright Aeronautical of Dayton, Ohio merged. The pin was made by Balfour and has two stars in an enameled area at the bottom of the pin.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1940s.

SIZE:

Approximately 9/16" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass, 10 karat gold, enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:

LGB (Balfour mark), X (appears also have a 10K mark), 746.
