Description
This is a 1930s Curtiss-Wright Propeller Division lapel pin by Whitehead & Hoag. Curtiss-Wright began in 1929 when Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company of Buffalo, New York, and Wright Aeronautical of Dayton, Ohio merged. The pin is a petite, enameled propeller that reads THE AIRCRAFT.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 9/16" in height and 5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with sleeved disc backing, stabilization pin.
MARKINGS:WHITEHEAD & HOAG NEWARK, N.J. on backing.
