Description
This is a circa 1940s Camp Edwards worker identification badge for the "Caretaking Detachment". Camp Edwards, situated on Cape Cod in Massachusetts, replaced Fort Devens in 1938 as the National Guard's training camp and later was used by the Army as well. The celluloid badge is by the Universal Badge Company of Boston, Massachusetts and is numbered 68 at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1940s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-11/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Celluloid-wrapped tin.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin.
