ARTIFACT: This is a Portsmouth, New Hampshire Veteran Firemen's ribbon August 6, 1938. The badge shows the bust of a fireman flanked by firefighting equipment and the red and white ribbons below read PORTLAND VETS PORTSMOUTH, N.H. AUGUST 6, 1938.

VINTAGE: Circa 1938.

SIZE: 3-3/4" height and 3-1/4" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Celluloid, paper backing, silk ribbon.

ATTACHMENT: Straight pin.

MARKINGS: WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. BUTTONS, BADGES, NOVELTIES & SIGNS NEWARK N.J.
