ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1930s or World War II badge for the First Aid Corps of the General Electric Erie Works plant. The Erie location manufactured trolley parts as well as electrically-powered locomotive and tank motors. The badge is nicely enameled with red lettering and a green cross. It was made by Whitehead-Hoag of Newark, New Jersey.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s-World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/16" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Chrome-plated brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: THE WHITEHEAD-HOAG CO. NEWARK, N.J.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows little wear and has a small area of discoloration to the reverse only; all enamel is intact.
