This is a 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States 1st Field Artillery Regiment by American Metal Crafts. The DI shows a stand of grapes at its center and is topped by a tower and a maple leaf. The DI reads PRIMUS AUT NULLUS (first or not at all).
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/4" in height 1" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:AMERICAN METAL CRAFTS CO. ATTLEBORO MASS; scratched initials.
