This is a circa 1930s Portsmouth (NH/ME) Naval Shipyard worker specialty badge for a progressman, whose job it is to keep track of yard projects and file reports on their progress. The shield-shaped badge is numbered 04 and made in Monel.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/4" in height and 1-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Monel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety pin.
MARKINGS:04 on front.
