This is a circa 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States Army Cavalry School at Fort Riley, Kansas. The DI has a coppery hue and reads MOBILITATE VIGEMUS (We thrive by mobility).
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:The DI you receive will either be the one pictured or one in very similar condition. This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VFX13 LBHX3/13
CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The DI shows some light wear and tarnish.
