Description
This is a Civilian Conservation Corps rank stripes from the 1930s. The National Defense Act of 1920 created the CMTC so that male citizens could receive military training without signing up for the service. The CMTC held classes (camps) each summer from 1921 through 1940. The stripes are embroidered in Kelly green upon a bright scarlet wool felt.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 4" in height and 2-13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool felt embroidered in cotton/silk threads, muslin backing.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The stripes show only light wear with one fold on the reverse.
