Description
This is a 1930s "leadingman" worker identification badge for the Boston Naval Shipyard. One of the oldest naval shipyards, the Boston yard was in commission from 1801 until 197The badge is numbered X38 16 on an affixed oval plate.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930's.
SIZE:Approximately 2-5/16" in height and 2-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass with painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with forked locking catch, oval riveted on.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The badge has some small spots of wear with tarnish along the bottom edge; some of the painted lettering has worn away; pin slightly bent but in working order.
