Description
This is a 1930s Boston-Maine Airways agent wing that was purchased at the estate sale of Basil Dixwell of Auburn, Maine. Dixwell worked for Boston-Maine Airways as an agent until the airline changed its name to NEA, and then flew as a pilot for the Civilian Air Transport Command in WWII and for Northeast Airlines in the post-war years. The pin shows a Pilgrim standing astride an aircraft and reads BOSTON-MAINE AIRWAYS AGENT.

SIZE:2-1/4" wing.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under swivel catch.
