Description
This is a 1930s badge for the French Colonial (Later African/North African) veterans' organization. Begun by Major General Franchet d'Esperey, Amities Africaines provided material assistance for ex-serviceman. The badge is five flags with the symbol of Tunisia at its center: hand, star and upturned crescent.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin.
MARKINGS:ARTHUS BERTRAND PARIS DEPOSE on back of badge; ARTHUS BERTRAND PARIS 16 RUE DE RENNES (?) on saddle.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The badge has some spots of discoloration to the enamel (most would probably would come off with a cleaning) and minor wear and tarnish.
