ARTIFACT: This is a 1929 yearbook for the 197th Coast Artillery Regiment (A.A.), New Hampshire National Guard. Each of the Regiment's batteries has a group photo and individual officer photos in the book, as well as a roster and short history write-up. The cover has a nice color insignia with the group's heroic motto "A Bas L'Avion" (Down with the plane). The book includes some period local business advertising.

VINTAGE: Published circa 1929.

SIZE: 100 pages, approximately 10-1/2" in height and 7-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Textured card stock cover, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Glued binding.

MARKINGS: Printed by the Dartmouth Press, Inc., Hanover N.H.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a National Guard collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. RAJX06 LAAEX9/13 SAJJX12/14

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The book has some very small spots of wear to the cover and some separation inside the front cover form the spine although the book is still intact.
