Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1920s celluloid baggage tag with a great Deco steamship scene from the United States Lines, which started operations in 192The reverse of the tag shows that it was once affixed to the luggage of a passenger from Bluffs, Iowa.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1920s.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-5/16" in height and 1-7/15" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Celluloid (clear and opaque) with metal rivet.

ATTACHMENT:

Two holes.

MARKINGS:

LITCHFIELD CO. N.Y.

CONDITION:

7+ (Very Fine+): The luggage tag has some slight yellowing and buckling and the writing is hard to read in spots.
