ARTIFACT: This is a 1940s Eastern Air Lines baggage tag for F. E. Davis, whose name is engraved on the reverse. The tag reads EASTERN AIR LINES THE GREAT SILVER FLEET and shows a great crimson bird flying against a background of two shades of blue.

VINTAGE: Circa mid- to late 1940s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-7/16" in height and 2-1/8" in width; chain is 2-1/4" long as shown.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: White metal with painted/enameled lettering.

ATTACHMENT: Chain with clasp.

MARKINGS: F.E. DAVIS.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airlines collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VCEX03 LHEX11/10

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): Tag shows some areas of moderate wear.
