ARTIFACT: This is a 1940s Eastern Airlines baggage tag for Emerson O. Mann, whose name and address are engraved on the reverse. The tag reads EASTERN AIR LINES THE GREAT SILVER FLEET and shows a great crimson bird flying against a background of two shades of blue.

VINTAGE: Circa mid- to late 1940s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-7/16" in height and 2-1/8" in width; chain is 2-1/4" long as shown.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: White metal/aluminum with painted/enameled lettering.

ATTACHMENT: Chain with clasp.

MARKINGS: EMERSON O. MANN 2032 LANCASHIRE AVENUE LOUISVILLE 5 KENTUCKY.

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): Tag shows light wear.
