Description

ARTIFACT:

This is an old newsboy's license badge issued by the New Bedford, Massachusetts School Department. The badge is numbered on the front and has a C.D. Reese of New York maker mark on reverse. It dates from the 1920s or 1930s.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1920s-1930s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-3/4" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical kick pin with tongue-style C catch.

MARKINGS:

J 22 on front; C.D. REESE 57 WARREN ST. N.Y. on reverse.
