ARTIFACT: This is a handsome 1930's Monmouth Beach, New Jersey Fire Department badge. The Monmouth Beach Fire Department was established in 1905 and this stamped nickel badge was made by C.G. Braxmar Co. in New York. It has a panoply fire apparatus as a center seal.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920's

SIZE: 2" x 2"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Stamped nickel with rust red painted lettering and at one time in the other recesses of the badge (most of this background paint is now gone).

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with a wire type C catch.

MARKINGS: C.G. BRAXMAR 242 WEST 55. St. N.Y.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a small group of fire badges which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MFJX13 LACEX9/14 SGBX2/15

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): Lovely even patina. Slight paint loss in background does not detract.
