ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1920s Irish Republican Army enlisted man hat insignia. This insignia is from around the Irish Civil War period, and bears an "FF" at center for "Fianna Fil" (Warriors of Fl, or Warriors of Ireland). The insignia is a starburst with a garter belt at center bearing the words glaigh na hireann.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920s.

SIZE: About 1-9/16" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Stamped brass.

ATTACHMENT: Two loops for cotter pin (pin not present).

MARKINGS: None.
