ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1920s Irish Republican Army enlisted man hat insignia. This insignia is from around the Irish Civil War period, and bears an "FF" at center for "Fianna F‡il" (Warriors of F‡l, or Warriors of Ireland). The insignia is a starburst with a garter belt at center bearing the words îglaigh na hƒireann.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920s.

SIZE: About 1-9/16" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Stamped brass.

ATTACHMENT: Two loops for cotter pin (pin not present).

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The insignia has some minor wear and oxidation.
