ARTIFACT: This is a great circa 1920s or 1930s State of California Department of Natural Resources Special Deputy Division of Fish & Game badge. The shield-shaped badge is numbered 265 and has a Whitehead & Hoag maker mark on reverse.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920s-1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/8" in height and 1-7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: 265 on front; THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. NEWARK, N.J. on reverse.

CONDITION: 6 (Fine+): The badge has some areas of moderate to heavy wear and is still handsome.
