ARTIFACT:
This is a numbered World War I Canadian "For Honourable Service" honorable discharge Army Class "C" badge. The badge has a four-digit number on reverse and was made by Caron Brothers of Montreal. It is enameled in red and white and shows a crown at center with three maple leaves beneath.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War I (1917).
SIZE:
Approximately 1-1/8" in diameter.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Plated brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:
Horizontal pin with Tiffany-style catch, back plate.
MARKINGS:
8865; CARON BROS. MONTREAL 1917.
ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:
7- (Very Fine-): The badge has some light to medium wear and tarnishing; some small bits of the enamel are no longer present and there are some small cracks.
