1915 US Naval Academy Midshipman's Hand-Carved Wooden Box for Personal Items

This is a rectangular folk-art box in a beautiful reddish wood with a sliding lid, beveled inside edges and dovetailed joints. The lid bears carved layered wood veneers of the Annapolis Naval Academy logo and is dated 1915.

Circa 1915.

10-7/8" length and 5-15/16" width and 3-7/8" depth.

Wood with painted area.

Lid slides.

Initial P? scratched beneath logo.
