This is a rectangular folk-art box in a beautiful reddish wood with a sliding lid, beveled inside edges and dovetailed joints. The lid bears carved layered wood veneers of the Annapolis Naval Academy logo and is dated 1915.
VINTAGE:Circa 1915.
SIZE:10-7/8" length and 5-15/16" width and 3-7/8" depth.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wood with painted area.
ATTACHMENT:Lid slides.
MARKINGS:Initial P? scratched beneath logo.
