ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1890s United States Naval Academy Annapolis Midshipman's shoulder insignia in bullion. The insignia is an eagle perched upon the top of an anchor.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1890s.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-9/16" in height and 2-13/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool embroidered in silk/cotton and bullion threads, mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT:

To be sewn on.

CONDITION:

8(Very Fine - Excellent): The insignia has some light wear along the edge and a handsome embroidered patina, overall lightly tarnish and very fine condition.
